RALEIGH – The Committee to Defend the President—one of America’s largest pro-Trump super PACs—has mobilized to attack Joe Biden in North Carolina, releasing a new advertisment that criticizes Joe Biden on the eve of Super Tuesday. The ad questions why President Obama hasn’t endorsed Biden yet, given that Biden regularly touts his record in the White House.
Part of a $250,000 spend, the new ad will run statewide on North Carolina’s local stations beginning this Sunday through Tuesday. The Committee will also promote the ad on social media in North Carolina and other states.

Committee chairman Ted Harvey weighed in on why he thinks Obama has steered clear of his former vice president:
“If President Obama thinks so highly of Joe Biden, then why hasn’t he endorsed his Vice President of eight years? Because he knows that Biden is the wrong choice for America. No matter how much Biden praises President Obama on the campaign trail, Americans understand that Biden was a failure as Vice President and will fail again if given the chance. That’s why the Committee will continue to expose him—in North Carolina and nationwide.”
Winning the South Carolina primary, propelled by the powerful endorsement of Jim Clyburn, has kept the Biden campaign holding on to hope approaching Super Tuesday elections in multiple states. It will be his do or die moment, and the Committee to Defend the President is working to keep his numbers sliding in the Old North State — Bernie Sanders has emerged as the new leader in recent polling from Meredith College.
