11Under President Trump, the Economy is Soaring in New Hampshire

While the Democratic candidates circle the wagons to court New Hampshire voters, there is still only one true choice in 2020: President Trump.

The Left may have the charade of an impeachment inquiry and half-baked theories about Ukrainian corruption, but the Trump administration is presiding over one of the strongest economies in our history. And it’s not going anywhere: In November, U.S. employers added 266,000 jobs–the fastest pace since 312,000 in January.

When it comes to pocketbook issues, the American people are thriving. Jobs are being created and American families are experiencing financial security that once seemed unattainable during the Obama years.

The overwhelming success of the Trump agenda is especially pronounced in New Hampshire, which boasts one of America’s healthiest labor markets. As of October, the Granite State’s unemployment rate of 2.6 percent is the fourth lowest in the entire country. One decade ago? That unemployment rate surpassed six percent. During the same period, New Hampshire’s labor force expanded from about 745,000 employees to well over 770,000 workers.

Even more importantly, the state’s newfound prosperity cuts across multiple economic sectors. Under President Trump, construction, manufacturing, and utilities have all trended up–way up. This has led to an unprecedented increase in economic output, from $78.5 billion in 2016 to nearly $84.5 billion last year.

11‘Thank Van Drew’ Ads to Start This Weekend

The super PAC called The Committee to Defend the President will begin airing a “Thank Van Drew” ad praising Rep. Jeff Van Drew for switching to the Republican Party, a spokesman said Friday.

“We wanted to do everything we could to support the congressman,” said Ted Harvey, chairman of the super PAC. “Having people contact him … he will be able to keep track of the people calling. Clearly he doesn’t know the Republicans in the district. It’s going to be a great introduction.”

The ad will start this weekend and run for about a week on TV channels like CBS, ABC, NBC, and Fox News Channel.

11New Pro-Trump Ad on Baghdadi Death: ‘Justice Served’

A pro-Trump political action committee is kicking off dual ad blitzes of more than $100,000 as it continues to advocate for President Donald Trump’s re-election.

The Committee to Defend the President revealed a new ad Friday that uses the recent killing of Islamic State (ISIS) leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi as a way to tout Trump’s accomplishments. The other ad targets African-American voters in major cities such as Atlanta, Baltimore, and Detroit.

“The world demanded justice, and Donald Trump delivered,” the narrator of the al-Baghdadi ad says. After playing clips of Trump talking about the terrorist before and after his death, the narrator ads, “Justice served, America protected.”

The ad will run on three major cable news networks before, during and after the upcoming Democratic presidential debate in Georgia, Iowa, New Hampshire, and South Carolina. It is also slated to start running on social media this weekend. At least $100,000 will be spent on it.

11The Numbers Are In: The Trump Economy Still Soars

Democrats sure do enjoy raining on the parade that is the Trump economy. Joe Biden, who somehow remains the Democratic frontrunner, recently accused President Trump of “squandering” the Obama economy in recent years.

Squandering what, exactly? Under the Obama administration, America’s unemployment rate peaked at 10 percent—the highest figure since the early 1980s. Employers struggled to create jobs, while employees and job-seekers saw fewer opportunities in the private sector.

President Trump, to his credit, has described today’s U.S. economy as one of the strongest ever. In his words: “Wages are rising, incomes are soaring, and 2.5 million Americans have been lifted out of poverty in less than three years.”

So who’s right? Well, the numbers are in, and they tell the same story: The Trump economy is indeed soaring.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics’s latest jobs report, the U.S. economy added 128,000 jobs in October—exceeding initial estimates of 75,000. America’s unemployment rate (3.6 percent) remains one of the lowest in the last 50 years, while the total employment level reached a new high of 158.5 million people.

11Why are super PACs and other outside groups spending so little this cycle?

Fewer competitive special elections and an aversion to super PACs in the Democratic presidential primary are tamping down outside spending so far in the 2020 campaign cycle.

The $27.5 million in outside spending through Oct. 7 is less than half of what it was at this point in the 2018 cycle ($63.9 million) and substantially lower than 2016 ($49.1 million).

But with more than a year to go until November 2020, there’s still plenty of time for independent spenders –– typically super PACs that aren’t supposed to coordinate with candidates –– to catch up.

On top of that, the single-biggest donor to outside groups in 2016, Tom Steyer, has shifted his money into his own presidential bid. As a result, the presidential race has been the target of only $8.4 million in outside spending so far — less than a quarter of the total at the same point in 2016. The majority of that has come from two groups supporting Trump, the Committee to Defend the President and Great America PAC, the two biggest non-party outside spenders of this cycle.

11Pro-Trump super PAC files FEC complaint against DNC over Ukraine outreach

The Democratic National Committee has been hit with a Federal Election Commission complaint that accuses a former DNC contractor of acting improperly to gather information on Paul Manafort and Donald Trump in the 2016 election, according to a copy of the complaint given to Fox News.

The complaint, filed by the pro-Trump Committee to Defend the President, hinges on the work of Alexandra Chalupa, a contractor hired by the DNC during the 2016 election. The DNC, the complaint alleges, “tasked Chalupa with obtaining incriminating or derogatory information about Donald Trump … [and] Paul Manfort.”

In May, Fox News reported that the UkrainianEembassy confirmed that Chalupa had pushed for Ukrainian officials to publicly mention Manafort’s financial and political ties to the country. The disgraced former lobbyist is currently serving more than seven years in prison for financial fraud related to his work in Ukraine.

Chalupa, according to the complaint, sought to have the Ukrainian government provide her information about Manafort’s work in the country. She was encouraged by the DNC to meet with former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko to gain insight that would theoretically boost Hillary Clinton’s bid for president.

11National pro-Trump political committee launches messages tying Democratic candidates to ‘The Squad’

Committee to Defend the President working with Trump supporters to counter Democratic convention message, launches Manchester billboard

by John DiStaso

A national political committee promoting President Donald Trump’s reelection is launching an effort to counter the loud and long anti-Trump comments expected to dominate the New Hampshire Democratic Party state convention Saturday.

The Committee to Defend the President’s message ties the Democratic presidential candidates to the four progressive members of the U.S. House known as “The Squad.” The committee, which is not affiliated with the Trump campaign, will convey its message by providing New Hampshire Trump supporters with signs to wave during a planned presence outside the SNHU Arena on Saturday.

The committee, a “hybrid political action committee” allowed to make direct contributions and independent expenditures, is also purchasing billboard space on Manchester’s heavily trafficked South Willow Street to show a rotating billboard with two related messages. The billboard is expected to remain in place not just for the weekend, but for a longer, indefinite period of time.

The group shared its messaging and plans first with WMUR.

Inside the arena, 19 Democratic presidential candidates will be speaking to an estimated 10,000 or more party activists from New Hampshire and throughout the country.

One of the signs and billboard messages depict presidential hopefuls former Vice President Joe Biden, Sen. Bernie Sanders, Sen. Elizabeth Warren and Mayor Pete Buttigieg next to larger images of the four members of “The Squad” – U.S. Reps. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez, Ilhan Omar, Ayanna Pressley and Rashida Tlaib.

“The Squad. Ruling the Democrats. Controlling the agenda. Open borders. Socialism. Green New Deal,” one sign says.

The committee believes its message highlights that the Democratic candidates for president have veered sharply to the ideological left to appease the four “Squad” members and their supporters, who it believes are among the most extreme voices on social media.

Sources say its activities this weekend will be the first of many through the remainder of the Democratic presidential campaign.

“Suffering from Trump derangement syndrome, the Democratic candidates have all veered sharply to the left, hoping to appease their radical, socialist base,” said Ted Harvey, chair of Committee to Defend the President.

“Even so-called ‘moderates’ are advocating for extreme positions such as open borders and free health care for illegal immigrants, making it all the more important for us to hold the Democrats accountable.

“’The Squad’ doesn’t just represent a fringe voice. It’s the voice of the Democratic Party and our mission is to make sure the American people know that.”

The Committee to Defend the President was founded as the Stop Hillary PAC in May 2013, according to FactCheck.org. After Trump won the presidential election in November 2016, the group changed its name in January 2017.

FactCheck.org said that Guy Short, a political consultant, is the PAC’s founder, and Dan Backer, a campaign finance lawyer, is its treasurer, according to paperwork filed with the FEC in 2017.

Harvey, the chairman, is a former Republican state senator from Colorado.

In the current cycle, the Committee to Defend the President made $2.6 million in independent expenditures through July 31, according to the nonpartisan Center for Responsive Politics.

11OP-ED: By voting for President Trump, North Carolinians will vote for economic prosperity

As North Carolina prepares to host President Trump, its people have plenty to celebrate because of him.

by Ted Harvey
Thursday, 05 September 2019 12:32

After promising to make America great again in 2016, President Trump’s “America First” agenda has indeed ushered in a new era of economic prosperity—in the Tar Heel State and nationwide. Employers are creating jobs and rewarding their workers, employees are satisfied in the workplace, and job-seekers are finding it easier than ever to climb the career ladder. And, no matter what the left-leaning mainstream media claims, there is absolutely no recession in sight.

We’ve come a long way since the Obama years. In 2010, North Carolina’s unemployment rate surpassed 10 percent. Fast forward to July of this year, and the Tar Heel State is sitting on an unemployment rate of barely four percent.

Job creation is on the rise, especially in the manufacturing sector. In just two years, President Trump has aided in creating more than 45,000 new manufacturing jobs in North Carolina alone. The forgotten Americans who turned to him for any hope of economic opportunity have been rewarded by jobs, jobs, and more jobs. Those Americans are forgotten no more.

And they have Republican policies to thank. Consider tax cuts: Within a decade, the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, signed by President Trump in 2017, is expected to add nearly 37,000 full-time-equivalent jobs to North Carolina’s economy. At the same time, dozens of North Carolina employers have decided to provide their workers with pay increases, bonuses, and other benefits because of tax reform.

The logic is simple: Get Uncle Sam off their backs, and job creators will put their money to good use. They’ll invest that money back into the local economy.

That’s exactly what is happening, and North Carolina’s economy is open for business. In 2018, Forbes described North Carolina as having the best economy for business, for the second year in a row. Earlier this year, CNBC also praised the Tar Heel State for its business climate, citing low unemployment and high growth.

Because of President Trump and Republicans at the state level, there has never been a better time to live in North Carolina. Now, it’s time for North Carolinians to return the favor — and vote for President Trump in 2020.

In 2016, President Trump won the Tar Heel State by four percentage points, and he can do even better this election cycle. There are millions of new Trump supporters who are ready to get him re-elected.

I know because I’ve traveled the country and spoken to them. My organization, the Committee to Defend the President, has dedicated $1 million to traverse urban and rural North Carolina, registering these new Trump supporters to vote.

We are also proud to support Sen. Dan Bishop’s (R-Mecklenburg) campaign for Congress, as we educate North Carolinians about the Republican policies that are helping them as we speak. By engaging with potential Bishop voters on the ground, we can also explain to them why President Trump deserves their support in 2020. From Charlotte to Raleigh and beyond, we can and we will mobilize a pro-Trump army this election cycle.

A vote for President Trump is a vote for economic prosperity. Anything less is simply a step backwards.

Ted Harvey is chairman of the Committee to Defend the President.

Allen West Joins the Committee to Defend the President

Former Florida congressman supporting pro-Trump PAC in advisory role

Washington, D.C. — Today, the Committee to Defend the President—one of America’s leading pro-Trump super PACs—announced the hiring of former Florida Congressman Allen West as a senior advisor. West, a retired U.S. Army lieutenant colonel, will assist the Committee in a wide range of activities, such as fundraising, grassroots outreach, and media relations. West’s primary goal is to support President Trump’s “America First” agenda and the constitutional conservatism that are making America great again.

Since its inception in 2013, the Committee has made roughly $11 million in independent expenditures to support Republican causes, in addition to over $365,000 in direct contributions to Republican candidates. In 2018, the Committee’s Tennessee program propelled Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) to victory, as the pro-Trump PAC spent more than $1 million in support of Blackburn’s candidacy.

With West’s help, the Committee is expanding its political activities in 2020, planning $1 million spends in key battleground states such as Florida, Michigan, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania. In partnership with Great America PAC, the Committee has already launched the “Great America Voter Drive,” a $1 million campaign to register new Trump voters this election cycle.

Due to its political influence, Committee’s media presence is felt across the country. In recent years, the pro-Trump PAC has secured over 170 cable news bookings, as well as roughly 300 radio appearances nationwide. The Committee’s representatives have also penned dozens of op-ed columns in support of President Trump and his “America First” agenda.

“Given their tremendous impact, I have followed the Committee’s activities for years now,” said West. “I couldn’t be more excited to join such a hard-working team, as we do our part to get President Trump re-elected and advance the ‘America First’ agenda for years to come. Together, we will indeed continue to make America great again.”

“From media appearances to fundraising and door-knocking, Allen West’s involvement will take the Committee to new heights, and play an integral role in President Trump’s re-election,” said Committee Chairman Ted Harvey. “With West’s immense dedication to the cause, we are more confident than ever that the Trump agenda will continue transforming our country for the better.”

11Allen West: In 2020, Embrace Constitutional Conservatism, Not Progressive Socialism

By Allen West
Published August 9, 2019 at 1:13pm

America is at a crossroads. Do we continue down President Donald Trump’s path of economic prosperity, real border security and a renewed hope in the American dream?

Do we embrace constitutional conservatism? Or do we take the left’s path of progressive socialism?

I know which road I’m taking. I’m supporting Trump, and I urge all Americans — Democrats and Republicans — to do the same, for the betterment of this country.

That’s why I have decided to join the Committee to Defend the President, one of America’s leading pro-Trump super PACs. The Committee is on the front lines of President Trump’s re-election fight, and we are committed to not only making America great again, but also making the “America First” agenda endure for years to come.

Since its inception in 2013, the Committee has made roughly $11 million in independent expenditures to support Republicans and conservative goals, in addition to contributing over $365,000 directly to Republican candidates.

Tennessee is a prime example. In 2018, the Committee mobilized on behalf of Republican Sen. Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee, spending more than $1 million to boost her candidacy and shield her campaign from left-wing attacks.

From digital advertising to door-knocking, the Committee engaged with Tennessee voters on all levels, inspiring them to vote for a pro-Trump candidate who believed in Tennessee values — good, old conservative values.

In 2020, we’re taking our support for President Trump to new heights. The Committee is planning $1 million spends in key battleground states such as Florida, Michigan, North Carolina and Pennsylvania. Anti-Trump Democrats like Joe Biden are making their appeals to working-class voters in those states, but they are still loyal to Trump.

Let’s keep it that way. By investing in battleground states, we can keep the electoral map in Trump’s favor.

Voter registration is key. Based on my personal experiences traveling around the country, there are millions of Americans who would support Trump, but didn’t vote in 2016 and fewer still in 2018. Many were unable to cast a ballot, but believe in the “America First” agenda that has transformed this country.

This is a golden opportunity for us.

For Republicans to win, we need to register them and get them out to vote for Trump and Republicans up and down the ballot. That’s why the Committee, in partnership with Great America PAC, has already launched the “Great America Voter Drive.”

Our goal is to spend $1 million to register new Trump voters this election cycle. If and when we do, we can mobilize a conservative army that can re-elect Trump in 2020 and defend his agenda for the next four years.

Again, America is at a crossroads. One path leads us to robust economic growth, historically low unemployment levels for African-Americans and Hispanics, and a clampdown on illegal immigration that advances America’s interests — not those of our countries.

The other path leads us down the dark and dangerous road of socialism — high taxes, government-run health care, and the decline of American entrepreneurship.

President Trump is leading us to a brighter future, and a greater America. Will you join us?
